"I have been to a lot of vets offices before and never got that homey feeling, but then a good friend of ours was working at Elgin Animal Clinic and said we need to come here. She said the staff and Doctor was great. So we decided to give it a try and I would have to say 4 years later , it's the best decision we have ever made. Dr Dillion has been nothing but honest and a very caring doctor since day 1. He's always looking out for the best interest of the dog and explores every options depending on the situation. Elgin Animal Clinic is very affordable and is always trying to make a difference in the doggy world. Two major things stick out in my head when I think of the clinic: One being he saved my German Shepard's life when she got really sick and gave us the best advice ever and where to go to have her looked at as she needed a specialist. The other one is that even thoughDiesel(110 lb pit mix) is the biggest baby and hates his nails done and even shots sometimes. They never send me away or tell me they can't help. Instead they do whatever they can to make him feel at home and make the procedures as easy on him as always. I would highly recommend Dr Dillion and his staff, especially Amy, anytime and to everyone around. Great people to work with and be around! We are forever a life long customer of Elgin Animal clinic! "Elgin Animal Clinic is the only place that will ever treat my fur babies. Dr. Dhillon and his Staff are exceptional and you can see just how much they care about the animals they treat. Both my fur babies have only ever been treated by them because of the professionalism and compassion that is encountered here. We are never treated like a number, the staff knows my name and the names of my fur babies without having to look at a chart, and I love that.
Last July when my Payton came down sick very suddenly Dr. Dhillon and his staff did all that they could to try and help him. In the end Payton's little body was tired and he passed away peacefully in his favorite sleeping spot between my husband and I. The whole staff at Elgin Animal Clinic were as upset as I was and were very comforting during this difficult time. Dr. Dhillon even went so far as to contact the maker of the drug he gave Payton to insure that it was not caused by the medication. What vet does that for their patients? Mine does and I am forever thankful to Dr. Dhillon for getting my husband and I answers regarding Payton's illness.
